FACIAL REJUVENATION WITH DERMAL FILLERS
BEFORE & AFTER
Dermal filler is a soft tissue filler made of hyaluronic acid. When injected into the skin at different depths dermal filler helps provide facial volume, augmenting facial features: restoring a more youthful appearance. Hyaluronic acid is a componet that is naturally produced in the body and plays a main role in keeping the skin structure hydrated & plump. Injectable dermal fillers are temporary as they are recognized as a part of the body’s natural process & eventually absorbed.
Our clinic uses only long-lasting medical-grade quality dermal filler and all injectables at Cosmetic Clinic are administered by our Dr Sanjay Mohindra M.B.B.S., M.D.
Q: How does the filler smooth out wrinkles?
Dermal fillers consist of a smooth injectable gel (hyaluronic acid) and is placed below the surface to literally ‘fill in’ or ‘plump up’ facial wrinkles and folds. This creates a natural more refreshed facial appearance.
Q: Are they safe?
As stated in our description of Dermal Fillers, the dermal fillers used in our clinic are 100% safe as they are made from hyaluronic acid, a component produced by the body which is also easily absorbed by the body. All dermal filler should only be performed by a qualified medical professional (doctor or nurse).
Q: What areas does it treat?
Lips, tear troughs, nasolabial folds, marionette lines, cheeks, chin, nose, jaw, temples and even acne scarring can be treated to achieve a youthful appearance. Filler can be used in nearly any area of the face including lips, chin, nose, jaw and temples.
Q: How long does its effect last?
Every filler comes with its unique properties and longevity. Generally, its effect lasts for 6-24 months, depending on the thickness of the product, treatment area, age, metabolism, and lifestyle.
Lip filler tends to be the least long lasting due to everyday movement of the lips and the type of filler used to create a natural looking result.
Q: How much time does this procedure take?
Most treatments will only take 45minutes.
Q: Is it painful?
Prior to your injectable treatment, the doctor will apply a topical anesthetic called lidocaine to numb the treated area, making your treatment more comfortable.
Q: What is the downtime?
The downtime will depend on the area being treated. You may experience a little bit of redness and swelling straight after the procedure, though this usually subsides in a couple of hours. Mild bruising can present itself from so it is recommended that you don’t exercise for 24 hours and avoid blood-thinning medicines prior to injectables.
Q: Who is an ideal candidate for it?
Anyone can have dermal fillers as long as they are not under 18, pregnant, breastfeeding or have certain medical conditions which we will go through thoroughly at the consultation process.
All dermal fillers at Cosmetic Clinic Coolangatta are FDA and TGA approved and administered by Dr Sanjay Mohindra M.B.B.S., M.D.
